Okey Dokey collaborative gallery initiative launches in Düsseldorf and Cologne this September

festival-fair · 2026-04-20

From September 8 to 30, galleries in Düsseldorf and Cologne will host Okey Dokey, a collaborative exhibition initiative modeled after London's Condo. Seventeen international galleries will cocurate group shows across nine Rhineland spaces, including Tokyo's Misako & Rosen, Vienna's Sax Publishers, and Paris's Galerie 1900-2000. Founders Ginerva Gambino, Jan Kaps, and Max Mayer organized the project with six other local gallerists. The name references Konrad Fischer's catchphrase and the Rhineland's tradition of artistic exchange. Host galleries include Delmes & Zander, Drei, Ginerva Gambino, Lucas Hirsch, Jan Kaps, Linden, Max Mayer, Studio for Propositional Cinema, and Rob Tufnell. International participants range from Frankfurt's Neue Alte Brücke to Mexico City's Lulu and Los Angeles's Park View. Vienna/Rome's Ermes Ermes, Geneva's Truth and Consequences, and Berlin's Sandy Brown will show at Ginerva Gambino. Warsaw's Stereo and New York's Lomex appear at Lucas Hirsch, while Basel's Weiss Falk and Paris's Edouard Montassut join Jan Kaps. Max Mayer hosts London/New York's Arcadia Missa, New York's Miguel Abreu Gallery, and Tokyo's Misako & Rosen. Studio for Propositional Cinema presents Barbara Rüdiger with Anna Sophie Berger, and Rob Tufnell features Berlin's Tanya Leighton. Linden's guest remains to be announced. The initiative follows Condo's expansions to New York, Shanghai, and Mexico City.
