Ohuhu Cotton-top Watercolour Pad Review: Mixed Performance

other · 2026-05-12

Ohuhu has released a new watercolour pad featuring a cotton top layer and a non-cotton bottom. Available in A4 and 9x12 inch sizes, with 20 or 30 sheets priced at USD 20 and 26 respectively. The paper comes in hotpress and coldpress surfaces; only hotpress was tested. At 300 gsm, the pad is not gummed on the sides. The paper has a slight off-white color and handles ink well without feathering. However, the wet-on-wet test showed poor blending, with horizontal painted lines remaining visible—similar to cellulose paper. Colors could blend when tilted but not effectively.
