OGX: Open-Source AI Server for Vendor-Neutral Agentic Applications

OGX (Open GenAI Stack) is an open-source server for AI applications and a Python library that integrates the APIs from leading frontier labs, including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, with customizable backend options. Developers creating agentic AI applications—like retrieval-augmented generation systems, multi-turn agents, and tool-calling workflows—can work with a unified API and deploy various combinations of inference engines, vector databases, and safety backends without altering their application code. The main emphasis of OGX is the Responses API for orchestrating server-side agentic functions, adhering to the Open Responses specification. Additionally, it accommodates the Anthropic Messages API and Google GenAI Interactions API, allowing for flexibility in SDK selection independent of model and deployment choices. With more than 20 inference providers, 13 vector store backends, and a Kubernetes Operator for production use, OGX acts as a self-hosted, model-agnostic backend for AI solutions.
