festival-fair · 2026-05-05

The renovated Officine Grandi Riparazioni (OGR) in Turin will reopen with a two-week festival called Big Bang, starting September 30, 2017. The event features exclusive concerts by Giorgio Moroder, Elisa, Ghali, Omar Souleyman, Danny L Harle, The Chemical Brothers, and the supergroup Atomic Bomb! (including Money Mark and Samuel). Performances will take place in the new Sala Fucine, a 3,000-square-meter space, on three consecutive Saturdays: September 30, October 7, and October 14. The first 1,200 free tickets are available from June 30 at 12:00 PM; 4,800 more will be distributed later. Moroder will present 'An Evening with Giorgio Moroder' in its Italian exclusive and European premiere, featuring his greatest hits orchestrated for orchestra and synthesizers. The Chemical Brothers will close the festival with a DJ set. Three site-specific art projects will debut: William Kentridge creates an installation in the courtyard, United Visual Artists (UVA) presents 'On the Edge of Chaos' in Sala Fucine, and Patrick Tuttofuoco presents 'Tutto Infinito' in the 2,700-square-meter exhibition area, a futuristic landscape with red earth and totemic sculptures made with CasaOz children. Artistic director Nicola Ricciardi, who curated the program with Sergio Ricciardone, stated the ambition to engage with international institutions like Tate Modern, Walker Art Center, and Manchester International Festival.
