Officina Gio Ponti: New Book Explores the Polymath Architect's Legacy

There's a new book out called 'Officina Gio Ponti. Scrittura, grafica, architettura, design,' edited by Manuel Orazi and Manfredo di Robilant, which dives into Gio Ponti's varied career. Released in 2023 by Quodlibet Habitat, it includes eight essays from writers like Elena Dellapiana and Fulvio Irace, organized into four sections covering publishing, graphics, architecture, and design. It highlights key events like Ponti launching Domus in 1928 and his work with Stile and Bellezza during the war, plus his rebranding efforts for Richard Ginori. The book also showcases iconic buildings like the Montecatini and Pirelli Tower in Milan, and it emphasizes Ponti’s vision of combining architecture and design. There will be a launch event on February 29, 2024, at the Spazio bookstore in Milan.
