Officina della Scultura 2020 Goes Open-Air in Bergamo and Milan
The third edition of Officina della Scultura, curated by Associazione Piero Cattaneo, has been reformatted as an open-air event due to the pandemic. Running until October 25, 2020, the festival features two temporary public installations by Franco Mazzucchelli (born Milan, 1939) in Bergamo, where visitors can interact with his large inflatable sculptures using indelible markers until October 18. Additionally, free outdoor art routes in Milan and Sesto San Giovanni highlight the work of Kengiro Azuma (Yamagata 1926 – Milan 2016), former assistant to Marino Marini, with special participation by his son Ambrogio. The event also includes sculptures by Piero Cattaneo, Ugo Riva, and Arnaldo Pomodoro, continuing its mission to map sculpture studios across Lombardy.
