OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen's 25-Column Holiday House in Sweden
In 2024, OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen finalized a holiday residence in Plintsberg, Sweden, situated on a forested slope with views of a lake. The structure features two horizontal slabs elevated by a framework of 25 columns, preserving the natural ground beneath. Its roof, finished with aluminum sheets, acts as a distinctive fifth facade that gently mirrors the environment, enabling the house to harmonize with the landscape. Hadir Al Koshta curated the project, while Dala Massivträ handled structural engineering, INTEC managed mechanical engineering, and Skoglunds served as the general contractor. The residence spans 250 m², with photography by Bas Princen.
