ODA Completes First Phase of POST Tower in Rotterdam

architecture-design · 2026-05-14

The global architecture, interior design, and landscape firm ODA has completed the first phase of the POST project in Rotterdam, a new tower rising behind the historic Postkantoor, the city's former Central Post Office. Designed by Gustav Cornelis Bremer and built between 1916 and 1923, the Postkantoor was one of the few original structures to survive the 1940 bombing of Rotterdam, which devastated nearly the entire historic core. The project, led by Eran Chen, covers 39,000 square meters and is slated for completion in 2026. Photographs by Ossip van Duivenbode document the progress. The tower is located in the center of Rotterdam, Netherlands, and represents a significant architectural addition to the city's resilient heritage.
