O16 House by studiokian Blends Tropical Privacy with Contextual Design in Indonesia
The O16 House, designed by studiokian, is a 580 m² private residence completed in 2025 in Indonesia. Lead architects Kalvin Widjaja and Dian Indah created a tropical sanctuary on a corner site within a gateless complex, overlooking a basketball park and the complex perimeter. The design prioritizes seclusion and engagement with natural elements, both man-made and contextual. The second floor offers undisturbed views thanks to surrounding eternal greenery. The project was curated by Miwa Negoro, with structural engineering by Indra Structural Works and construction by Inkland. Photographs were taken by Ernest Theofilus. Manufacturers include Bottega Artisan, Dulux, Kohler, Simon, Solid Stone, and VNB.
