NYC Ballet Spring Gala Raises $3.2M with Peck Premiere and Balanchine Tribute

The New York City Ballet's annual Spring Gala on May 7, 2026, at Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater raised $3.2 million. The event, themed 'Set in Stone—Creation & Preservation,' featured two world premieres, including a newly commissioned work by principal dancer and choreographer Tiler Peck. Peck's 'Symphonie Espagnole' was set to Édouard Lalo's violin concerto, performed by guest soloist Hilary Hahn with the NYCB Orchestra, and featured over 30 dancers in costumes by Robert Perdziola. The gala also showcased George Balanchine's 'Diamonds' from 'Jewels,' marking the 60th anniversary of the piece. Honorary chair Mick Jagger introduced the Balanchine segment with Jimmy Fallon. The evening drew 2,500 attendees, including Emmy Rossum, Ashley Graham, Hari Nef, and Diane Kruger. After the performance, 850 guests dined in the promenade, decorated by Cait & Jules with 65 giant inflatable orbs and floral centerpieces incorporating disco balls and crystal quartz. Jagger danced with his fiancée, former ballerina Melanie Hamrick.
