NYC Art Events During Met Gala Week 2026
On May 4th, the 2026 Met Gala will take place alongside a variety of art events and exhibitions in New York City. Opening on May 10th at the Metropolitan Museum of Art is 'Costume Art.' Di Donna will present works by Dalí, while Acquavella Gallery will showcase Matisse. Marcel Duchamp can be seen at MoMA, and The Whitney will feature Andy Warhol's Polaroids. Keith Haring's graffiti will be displayed at The Brant Foundation. The Conductor Art Fair, running until May 3rd in Brooklyn, highlights artists from diverse backgrounds, including queer artist Joline Kwakkenbos at Gallerie Sardine.
