Nuovarchitettura Platform Launches Prize for Italian Architects Under 40
On October 10, 2024, the inaugural Premio nuovarchitettura was held at Theatro in Verano (MB), spearheaded by Michela Anzivino, Alessandra Coppa, Raffaella Fossati, Michela Mazzone, and Giorgia Mazzone. The accolade went to EP04 Dalle Macerie by Post Disaster from Taranto, which earned a plaque and €2,000. The theme of 'accoglienza' (hospitality) attracted 21 studios, with the winner selected through the nuovarchitettura website. This project, addressing post-disaster living, was also chosen for the 2023 Venice Architecture Biennale. Anzivino's 2021 thesis inspired the platform nuovarchitettura.it, now showcasing over 70 studios. Organized by Collettivo Monzese (CM 024), the exhibition runs until October 16, 2024, with a publication planned for 2025 and the next contest set for October 2025.
