Numero Cromatico Opens Studio in Rome with WYMAM Exhibition

The collective Numero Cromatico, founded in 2011 and composed of researchers from various fields, merges visual arts with neuroscience through its journal Nodes. After three years at Pastificio Cerere in San Lorenzo and maintaining a production lab at Via dei Volsci 165, the group opens its new studio at Piazzale del Verano 93 on June 18 with the exhibition WYMAM (When You Move Around Me), running until September 30. The show presents two installations exploring aniconic, non-anthropocentric, and initiatory spaces, featuring works that avoid direct references to the visible world, using colored surfaces, modular structures, geometric forms, and immersive environments. The elimination of the subject activates the viewer, fostering pure perception and sensory experience. The studio, described as a porous space for art, science, visual communication, and thought, will host events and collaborations but is not a gallery with regular programming. The collective aims to synthesize recent research and share it with the community.
