Nude museum tours sell out in Stuttgart, Germany

exhibition · 2026-04-26

Tickets for two nude evening events at the Haus der Geschichte Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart have completely sold out. These special visits are scheduled for August 30 and September 13, 2025, as part of the ongoing exhibition "Frei Schwimmen – Gemeinsam?!", which will be available until September 14. Attendees are required to be nude, except for a towel, with clothing stored in lockers while the hall maintains a temperature of 23°C. Organized by GetNakedGermany, the exhibition showcases over 200 artifacts and images related to bathing history. Similar nude tours have been conducted at various museums, including La Boverie in Liège in February 2025 and Mucem in Marseille in 2024. The nudist movement, known as Freikörperkultur (FKK), began in Germany in the late 19th century.
