NUC Studio Designs SAANCI Coffee in Qinhuangdao

NUC Studio has completed the SAANCI Coffee (Aranya North Bay Store) in Qinhuangdao, China, in 2024. The 320 m² project features a double-layered narrative space designed to integrate a southern brand into the northern shoreline. The design emphasizes spatial hierarchy, communal ties, and everyday poetry. Lead architect Huang Changsong oversaw the project, with art direction by Ye Wenkao and construction supervision by Lei Mingxiang. The design team included Huang Changsong and Zhu Dezhong, with furniture and props by Xi Cheng and copywriting by Zi Xi. Photographs were taken by Shaoqing Pan.
