November 2013 Art Highlights: Performa 13, Cindy Sherman's Horrors, and Paris Photo

Founded in 2004 by RoseLee Goldberg, Performa 13 takes place in New York for three weeks, showcasing a 'Pavilion Without Walls' that emphasizes national performance strategies. The event features over 40 venues and includes new works from artists such as Raqs Media Collective and Paweł Althamer, curated by more than 30 international curators. In Stockholm, Cindy Sherman displays 'Untitled Horrors' at Moderna Museet. Paris Photo presents 135 galleries and 27 photography-book publishers, including Martin Parr's collection. Adam McEwen's works are on view at Galerie Rodolphe Janssen in Brussels. The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago hosts 'The Way of the Shovel,' curated by Dieter Roelstraete, while Aslı Çavusoğlu exhibits at Arter in Istanbul. Tate Liverpool features 'Art Turning Left,' and Kunsthalle Zurich presents a career retrospective of Lutz Bacher.
