Novanta La Paura: Nine Artists Explore the Dark Side of Daily Life in Bari
The exhibition 'Novanta La Paura' at Bluorg in Bari presents works by nine artists who use photography to reveal the unsettling undercurrents of everyday existence. Curated by Marilena Di Tursi, the show features images of a body prepared for sadomasochistic practice, threatening presences in a harmless undergrowth, a litter of toy dinosaurs, a bedroom converted into a crime scene, and twins engaged in hard games. These scenes, blending artificial and real with the complicity of the photographic medium, create ambiguous narratives that hint at incipient conflicts, perverse eroticism, and a social and existential malaise mixing anguish and estrangement. The exhibition runs from February 2017.
