Notturno al Museo: Photo Contest Invites Visitors to Capture Florence's Museums at Night
The GAMB (Galleria dell'Accademia di Firenze e Musei del Bargello) has initiated a photography competition titled 'Notturno al Museo,' encouraging visitors to document the ambiance of the Galleria dell'Accademia and Museo delle Cappelle Medicee during their evening hours on August 10. Contestants are required to submit their photographs by August 31, indicating the specific museum. Use of flash and professional gear is not allowed. A panel will choose seven images based on creativity and quality. The selected works will be featured on GAMB's social media platforms. Established in 1784, the Galleria is home to Michelangelo's David, while the Cappelle Medicee contains the Chapel of the Princes and Michelangelo's New Sacristy. Guided tours at the Museo Nazionale del Bargello are available until September 5.
