On Thursday, hardware firm Nothing unveiled Essential Voice, a dictation tool enhanced by AI. This feature seamlessly integrates with various applications to transform spoken words into well-structured text, eliminating unnecessary filler. Users have the ability to set up personalized voice shortcuts for phrases, links, templates, and frequently used terms. Supporting more than 100 languages, Essential Voice also offers translation capabilities. Currently, it is available on Phone (3), with plans to extend support to Phone (4a) Pro later this month and Phone (4a) next month. Accessing the feature can be done through the Essential key or keyboard. Nothing intends to roll out app-based custom styling for tone modulation, positioning itself as a pioneer in system-level dictation integration.
