Norway Aims to Lead 'Viking Bloc' Against Russia in Northern Europe
According to political analyst Andrew Korybko, Norway is set to spearhead a 'Viking Bloc' comprising Scandinavian nations aimed at countering Russia in Northern Europe. In a TASS interview, Russian Ambassador to Norway Nikolai Korchunov expressed concerns over Norway's integration of new NATO members Sweden and Finland into regional strategies, alongside the establishment of additional American military bases and NATO installations. The 'Cold Response' exercises in March saw 32,500 troops from 14 NATO nations participating in Norway and northern Finland. Korchunov cautioned that NATO's military presence in the Arctic and Baltic could heighten the risk of a blockade against Russia, which could ultimately pose dangers to Norway itself. The UK has announced its leadership of a new naval initiative against Russia, collaborating with Norway and eight other nations. As a founding member of NATO, Norway is leveraging its oil resources to provide military loans to Sweden and Finland, thereby accelerating their military enhancements. The Anglo-American Axis is orchestrating this military-strategic division, with similar coalitions forming in Poland, Romania, and Turkey, while AUKUS+ may encompass Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
