Norm Architects designs Copenhagen Dynaudio showroom with acoustic cork and recycled textile art
In Copenhagen's Indre By, Norm Architects has unveiled a 250-square-metre showroom for Dynaudio, inspired by the concept of 'unfolded speaker components.' Spanning three floors, the space features a wooden mezzanine that houses a meeting area, accessible via a zigzag wooden staircase. The design incorporates wood, aluminium, and recycled textile art by Buro Belén, utilizing Kvadrat fabrics. Acoustic enhancements come from eelgrass panels sourced from Søuld, while Corkinho provided cork to act as 'vibration buffers.' Furniture is supplied by Karimoku, a previous partner of Dynaudio. The collaboration included Norm Architects, Dynaudio, and Kontrapunkt. A basement listening room delivers a cinematic experience.
