NONE Collective's Installation at Cannes Honors Italian Cinema
At the 70th Cannes Film Festival, the Italian Pavilion hosts a multimedia installation titled 'Lo specchio della nostra natura – The brilliant side of us' by the Rome-based collective NONE. Commissioned for the second consecutive year, the work pays homage to iconic figures of Italian cinema, including Totò, Alberto Sordi, Anna Magnani, Claudia Cardinale, Roberto Benigni, Antonio Albanese, and Luca Marinelli. The project was coordinated by Luce-Cinecittà in collaboration with Anica and supported by the Direzione Generale Cinema of the Ministry of Economic Development and ICE. The artists describe the piece as a reflective parametric structure that fragments the multifaceted nature of Italian expressiveness, balancing refinement and simplicity.
