NONE Collective: Bridging Human and Artificial in Transmedia Art

NONE Collective, an aggregation of artistic personalities including Mauro Pace, Gregorio de Luca Comandini, and Saverio Villirillo, develops transmedia projects that interpret contemporary existence in digital society. The collective uses technology and architecture to create immersive narratives exploring identity, consciousness, and perception. Their project Simposio involved six meetings with critics, artists, producers, and thinkers to examine how art can act on the present and investigate the relationship between humans and technology. The collective participated in the Italian Pavilion at the Festival di Cannes for three editions, creating immersive installations for Luce-Cinecittà. Their work J3RR1 explores empathy between viewers and machines through a computer that performs daily stress tests, metaphorically reflecting human pursuit of improvement without clear purpose. The collective emphasizes hiding technology in their works to prioritize emotional storytelling over medium exposure, distinguishing themselves from art that derives emotion from media display. They believe art commissioned by private entities can be as valid as public commissions, but caution against losing artistic research orientation to marketing.
