Nona edizione del Festival perAspera tra Bologna e Città Metropolitana

From June 16 to July 6, 2016, the ninth edition of the Festival perAspera takes place in Bologna and four municipalities within the Metropolitan City: Castel Maggiore, Budrio, Grizzana Morandi, and Casalecchio di Reno. The lineup features premieres, national debuts, and site-specific works across performance, dance, theater, music, and installations. British artist Simon Wilkinson (known as CiRCA69) showcases two projects designed for one viewer at a time: The Cube, a multisensory performance utilizing Oculus Rift virtual reality, and the installation H0₩ Can I €A$€ ¥0ur Mind ₩Ith0ut L¥Ing. These performances mark the sole Italian stop on his tour from Montreal to Mexico City, with a detour through Turkey, both inspired by the mysterious disappearance of eight students in Idaho in 1959. In dance and performance, Nicoletta Cabassi presents Like a stray dog, a solo reflecting on being stray; Annaki (Anna Marocco) offers Fucsia – studio, a choreographic identity device; Ennio Ruffolo stages Match/Point, featuring bodies in a tennis match; Fabrizio Saiu explores the gestural-sonic relationship in Métron#1; Lara Russo, with Papelao, performed by Brazilian dancer Lucas Delfino, deconstructs intimate movement structures; and Fedra Boscaro showcases a site-specific version of Per un Novissimo Bestiario, a work in progress on contemporary imaginary beings.
