Nominations Open for Creative Australia's 2027 Asia Pacific Arts Awards
Nominations for the 2027 Asia Pacific Arts Awards, hosted by Creative Australia, are now open. These awards celebrate cultural exchange and creative partnerships across the Asia Pacific region. There are six categories, each focused on themes such as impact, innovation, inspiration, connection, and legacy, with a prize of $25,000 for each. In 2026, the Impact Award was awarded to Small Island Big Song, a project by Taiwanese producer BaoBao Chen and Australian producer Tim Cole, celebrating 17 nationalities over 11 years. Other 2026 winners included ENCOUNTER Theatre, artist Haji Oh, Hand to Earth, William Yang, and Asia TOPA. The nomination deadline is 3 PM on June 23, 2026, with the ceremony planned for January 2027. Self-nominations aren’t allowed.
