Nomadic gallery MATTA opens second act of Francesco Snote show in Paris

The nomadic Milanese gallery MATTA, founded on April 4, 2022, by Giulio, Pietro, and Pier Francesco, has opened the second act of Francesco Snote's solo exhibition in Paris. The show runs until October 22, 2023, at The Community House Onion Spirit – Act II. It features new drawings and sculptures in terracotta and metal powder exploring time, uncertainty, and layered meanings. The first act was held in June at MATTA's temporary space in Milan's Palazzo INA, designed by architect Piero Bottoni. MATTA operates without a fixed space, having previously exhibited in a Romanesque basilica, a study center in Salina, and Bernini's studio in Rome. The founders emphasize a nomadic approach driven by artists' needs, allowing them to create dialogues between contemporary art and historic spaces. They plan to open a physical venue in November, though it will serve as a base rather than a permanent exhibition space. MATTA is a commercial gallery that represents artists and has attracted young collectors. They will begin participating in art fairs to foster artist growth and collaborations.
