Noite das Ideias Launches in Brazil with Forest-Themed Debates Across Three Cities

On Thursday, January 30, the first Brazilian edition of Noite das Ideias will take place concurrently in Brasília, São Paulo, and Rio de Janeiro. This global initiative, organized by the French Embassy in Brazil and the Institut Français, will span 70 countries. The event's theme, "ser vivo e floresta" (living being and forest), will be examined through various lenses, including philosophical, scientific, and ecological perspectives. The agenda features artistic elements such as projections and performances. The event is structured around two main themes: "A floresta como ser vivo," which delves into recent scientific findings and life philosophies, and "a floresta como local de seres vivos," which addresses the beings that inhabit and influence forests. Notable participants include artists, indigenous leaders, and researchers like Ernesto Neto and Ailton Krenak, with activities hosted at Aliança Francesa in Brasília, Casa das Rosas in São Paulo, and Parque Lage in Rio de Janeiro.
