Noelia Towers' Father Figure Exhibition Explores Incest and Power Dynamics

Noelia Towers, a 31-year-old artist born in 1992 in Barcelona and now based in Chicago, presented her solo exhibition 'Father Figure' at Galleria De Boer in Antwerp from September to November 2023. The show features meticulous oil paintings depicting ambiguous relational situations between a father and daughter, heavily implying incestuous undertones. Towers intentionally crops heads and faces, focusing on bodies to create a sense of impudent modesty.
