Node Festival Returns to Modena After Hiatus

festival-fair · 2026-05-05

After announcing a pause in 2015 due to difficulties with the city administration, the Node Festival returns to Modena for its eighth edition from November 9 to 12, 2016. The international festival dedicated to electronic and digital arts expands its venues across the city, featuring sophisticated installations and performances. A highlight is the first solo exhibition in Italy of Swiss artist Zimoun (born 1977 in Bern) at Palazzina dei Giardini, presenting five room-sized works with cardboard resonance boxes and magnetic motors. The four-night program begins at Chiesa di San Bartolomeo with Lubomyr Melnyk's rapid piano compositions and concludes with the premiere of Robert Henke's Lumiere II. Other events include performances by Giuseppe Ielasi and the duo Inventing Masks (Giovanni Lami/Enrico Malatesta) at the Planetario Civico "F. Martino," with visuals by Luca Zamoc.
