Noah's Ark Nursery School by C+S Architects Wins Multiple Awards

C+S Architects completed the Noah's Ark Nursery School in Alzano Lombardo, Italy, in 2024. The 3,380-square-meter project reimagines schools as civic piazzas, open beyond school hours to foster community life. This approach, part of the firm's Future Heritage concept, integrates memory, ecology, and public life. The school has won numerous awards, including the Taipei Design Award 2025 (Gold), Architecture MasterPrize 2025 (Winner), Paris Design Award 2025 (Winner), IDAwards 2025 (Winner), WGA Design Awards 2025 (Winner), GPDP Design Awards 2025 (Winner), Built Design Awards 2025 (Winner), Taiwan Design Award 2025, A+ Design Awards 2025 (Special Mention), and was nominated for the Createurs Design Award 2025. The client is the Municipality of Alzano Lombardo. Key team members include head designers Carlo Cappai and Maria Alessandra Segantini, with site supervision by Studio Capitanio Architetti, structures by Myallonier Ingegneria srl, MEP by MCZ ingegneria srl, acoustics by Andrea Breviario, and contractor Impresa Perico.
