Noah Angell presents lecture-performance on railway folklore at ArtReview Bar

Artist Noah Angell delivered a lecture-performance at the ArtReview Bar in London on Wednesday 14 September 2016 at 7pm. The event explored railway songs in American folklore through storytelling, train dream poetics, and ethnographic field recordings. Angell incorporated audio materials collected from Virginia, North Carolina, Louisiana, and Arizona in the United States, with additional recordings from Canada, Sweden, and the Central African Republic. The performance was held at 1 Honduras Street in London's EC1Y 0TH postcode district. An online questionnaire with the artist was published on 7 September 2016, preceding the event.
