No gold medal for violins at Cremona's Triennial Stringed Instrument Competition
The 17th Antonio Stradivari International Triennial Stringed Instrument Competition held in Cremona did not present a gold medal in the violin division. However, Alessandro Peiretti won gold for cello. This year’s event saw participation from 315 artisans across 37 nations, showcasing 401 instruments. The jury, chaired by Paolo Bodini, comprised both musicians and luthiers who assessed the instruments through blind evaluations at the Arvedi auditorium. Peiretti's cello will be part of the Museo del Violino's permanent collection. Liu Zhaojun received silver in violin, while bronze medals were awarded to Renzo Mandelli and Milos Seyda.
