In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the 2001 G8 summit held in Genoa, the Teatro Nazionale di Genova has commissioned nine plays from writers representing the eight nations involved as well as the EU. Under the title "9 spettacoli per ricordare il G8 di Genova 2001," the lineup includes contributions from Roland Schimmelpfennig (Germany), Nathalie Fillion (France), Guillermo Verdecchia (Canada), Fausto Paravidino (Italy), Sabrina Mahfouz (UK), Toshiro Suzue (Japan), Wendy MacLeod (USA), Ivan Vyrypaev (Russia), and Fabrice Murgia (Belgium).
