Nina Power to Chair Afterall Film Club at Central Saint Martins

On Thursday, December 6, Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London will host the fifth Afterall Film Club, featuring philosopher and writer Nina Power. Power, who teaches Philosophy at Roehampton University and wrote the book One Dimensional Woman (Zero Books, 2009), will choose a film for viewers to watch, followed by a discussion. She has also written for the Guardian and co-founded the London film club Kino Fist with Owen Hatherley. This free event, which requires prior reservation at filmclub@afterall.org, will run from 6:30 PM to 9 PM at CSM's Granary Building in King's Cross. Afterall and Double Agents are collaborating on this initiative, which meets eight times a year, with previous events featuring Laura Mulvey and Dexter Dalwood.
