Nilufar and Galerie56 Present 'Grand Hotel, Vista Mare' in New York

Galerie56 in Manhattan is hosting 'Nilufar Grand Hotel, Vista Mare', a summer exhibition of Italian design rarities in collaboration with Milan's Nilufar gallery, on view through 17 October. The show, curated by Galerie56 founder Lee Mindel with the Nilufar team, reimagines the Lido of Venice as a luxurious hotel through design objects. Highlights include a Carlo Mollino dining table from 1956, minimalist 'Miguelito' chairs by Luis Barragán, a golden rug by Barbro Nilsson, and works by Gabriella Crespi, Gio Ponti, Martino Gamper, Lina Bo Bardi, and Carlo Bugatti. The exhibition is a continuation of Nilufar's Milan Design Week show 'Grand Hotel' and marks the gallery's second stateside presentation with Galerie56. Mindel described the show as a celebration of hospitality, elegance, and the enduring romance of Italian design, emphasizing the cultural and emotional resonance of the pieces.
