Niki de Saint Phalle's 'Paradiso Ritrovato' at Opera Gallery Paris
On the twentieth anniversary of her death, Opera Gallery Paris presents 'Paradiso Ritrovato,' a solo exhibition of over twenty works by Niki de Saint Phalle (1930–2002). The show runs from October 21 to November 30, 2022, at 62 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. The artist, known for her Tarot Garden in Capalbio, Italy, created a fantastical garden populated by imaginary animals and colorful Nanas. The exhibition parallels her monumental sculptures made in Tuscany between 1979 and 1993, reimagining her dreamlike style on a smaller scale. Highlights include the large sculpture 'Adam and Eve' (1985), displayed outside the gallery, and recurring motifs of the serpent and the tree of life. During Paris Art Week, her work 'Obélisque bleu avec fleurs' was also exhibited at the Tuileries Garden. Opera Gallery operates fourteen galleries worldwide.
