Night Fever: Club Culture Exhibition at Centro Pecci
The traveling exhibition 'Night Fever. Designing Club Culture 1960 – Today' is on view at Centro Pecci in Prato, Italy, until October 13. Produced by the Vitra Design Museum and ADAM – Brussels Design Museum, the show traces the evolution of nightclubs and their role in contemporary culture. It explores how these spaces challenged established codes of entertainment and enabled alternative lifestyles, serving as avant-garde hubs for design, graphics, fashion, light, sound, and special effects. The multidisciplinary exhibition follows a chronological path from the 1960s discotheques, which transformed dancing into a collective ritual in immersive fantasy worlds, to the more complex and branched club culture of the 2000s. Centro Pecci's focus on unconventional knowledge spaces and counterculture testimonies is highlighted through this project.
