Nicolò Beretta launches eponymous shoe collection with Giuseppe Zanotti support
Milanese shoe designer Nicolò Beretta (born 1995) launches his first collection under his own name, backed by mentor Giuseppe Zanotti. Beretta started creating footwear at 17 after showing sketches to Franca Sozzani, who encouraged him. He founded his first brand Giannico at 17 and won the "Who is on Next" award in 2015. After leaving Giannico, he partnered with Zanotti. The collection features the Andra boot with an above-knee lacing system, inspired by Umberto Boccioni's sculpture "Unique Forms of Continuity in Space." Beretta describes his aesthetic as feminine, playful, irreverent, and futuristic. He draws inspiration from art and the women who wear his shoes.
