Nicoletta Vallorani curates James Tiptree Jr. anthology

Nicoletta Vallorani, a scholar and writer, has edited and published an anthology of works by James Tiptree Jr., the pseudonym of Alice Bradley Sheldon. Vallorani's long-standing engagement with feminist science fiction began in the early 1980s when, as a young English literature student at the University of Pescara, she requested to write her thesis under Carlo Pagetti. He introduced her to the then-controversial field of women's science fiction published in the United States, including Tiptree Jr., Joanna Russ, and Vonda McIntyre. Vallorani has since combined her academic career with writing science fiction and noir. The anthology reflects her methodological and interpretive commitment to Tiptree Jr.'s work.
