Nicole Kidman stars in Mimi Cave's thriller 'Holland' on Prime Video

Mimi Cave, who debuted in 2022 with 'Fresh,' directs 'Holland,' a thriller starring Nicole Kidman and Gael García Bernal, available on Prime Video from March 27. The film follows Nancy Vandergroot (Kidman), a teacher and homemaker living an idyllic life in Holland, Michigan, with her husband (Matthew Macfadyen) and son (Jude Hill). When Nancy and her colleague Dave (Bernal) begin to suspect that nothing is as it seems, their lives spiral into dark events. Kidman, also a producer, describes Nancy as having a precise idea of an idyllic life but with a hidden restlessness. Cave chose Holland, Michigan for its preserved Dutch traditions like the Tulip Time parade and a windmill, calling it a cinematic backdrop. The script by Andrew Sodroski (creator of 'Unabomber') blends genres to create suspense and irony. Bernal notes the immediate mysterious connection and trust between Nancy and Dave. The film is distributed by Prime Video.
