Nico Vascellari's Limited Edition for Treccani Arte

publication · 2026-04-27

Nico Vascellari has created a limited edition of 100 unique artworks for Treccani Arte, each featuring a manual intervention that makes every piece a one-of-a-kind. The works are based on a residual element from his 2007 piece Revenge, which won the Premio Giovane Arte at the 52nd Venice Biennale and was later reinstalled at MAXXI in 2018. Each piece consists of a white plate with a black silkscreened silhouette of a leafy branch, over which Vascellari sprayed aerosol colors repeatedly, resulting in varied chromatic residues ranging from cool pinks to warm yellows, oranges, and reds, with drips and creases. This project underscores Treccani's commitment to contemporary art since 2018, producing editorial works, art multiples, exhibitions, and events.
