Ngorongoro II: Artist Weekend Berlin Returns with Expanded Curatorial Vision
From April 26 to 28, 2018, Weissense will present Ngorongoro II, an independent showcase featuring over 150 artists at a 6,000 square meter location. This initiative, spearheaded by Christian Achenbach, Jonas Burgert, and others, aims to attract more than 15,000 attendees, exceeding the previous year’s figures. This year’s event promises a more structured format, complementing an aesthetic blend of white cube and industrial elements. The title Ngorongoro, inspired by the beauty of Tanzania, also symbolizes its central conflict theme. Renowned artists like Roger Ballen and Marlene Dumas are expected to showcase their work, and detailed floor plans will guide visitors.
