Nexo Digital announces new season of Grande Arte al Cinema starting September

Following a successful previous season that drew approximately 190,000 paying viewers across Italy for films on Michelangelo, Raphael, Monet, and Maurizio Cattelan, Nexo Digital (in partnership with Sky Arte HD and Mymovies.it) launches a new lineup of five feature-length documentaries from September to December. The series begins September 25 with "Hokusai from the British Museum," a cinematic tour of the London museum's exhibition on the Japanese master Hokusai (1760-1849), using high-resolution imagery and traveling from London to Tokyo. In October, "Loving Vincent" from Breakthru Productions, the first fully painted feature film, explores the life of Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890). November brings "Bosch: The Garden of Dreams," set at the Museo del Prado in Madrid, delving into the surreal visions of the Dutch Renaissance genius. Also in November, "Canaletto in Venice" examines the Italian painter's works held at Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace, with a cinematic tour of the Venetian lagoon. The season concludes in December with "Julian Schnabel: A Private Portrait," directed by Pappi Corsicato, offering an intimate profile of the American artist through private videos, family anecdotes, and friend testimonials.
