New York Summer 2026 Art Guide: Pop, Tarot, YSL, and African Modernism

The Morgan Library & Museum opens 'Tarot! Renaissance Symbols, Modern Visions' on June 26, featuring a 15th-century hand-painted deck and the iconic 1909 Rider-Waite-Smith deck. The Guggenheim Museum presents 'Guggenheim Pop: 1960 to Now' from June 5, surveying Pop art with works by Claes Oldenburg, Coosje van Bruggen, Yayoi Kusama, and Maurizio Cattelan. The International Center of Photography launches 'Yves Saint Laurent and Photography' on June 11, a collaboration with Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris and Fondation Pierre Bergé–Yves Saint Laurent. 'Akinsanya Kambon: Soul Sessions' opens May 28 at SculptureCenter and CARA. The Drawing Center's 'Certainly an Act: Works on Paper by Pope.L' opens June 26. Upstate Art Weekend runs June 25-29 in the Hudson Valley and Catskills.
