New York's Fall Lecture Season Opens with Kara Walker at Pratt Institute

Pratt Institute's fall lecture series is beginning with Kara Walker, who will share her captivating animations, silhouettes, and drawings that explore the legacy of African-American slavery. On September 22, Robert Storr will kick off the School of Visual Art's Art in the First Person series, connecting the works of Gerhard Richter and Robert Ryman. The SVA lineup also features discussions on Artists Rights with Carolee Schneemann, Rochelle Feinstein, Linda Nochlin, and David Cohen from artcritical on October 11. Additionally, starting in October, the New York Studio School will offer a bi-weekly series with artists like Jeanne Silverthorne and Joan Waltemath.
