New Web App Launches for Pietrasanta Sculpture Park

digital · 2026-04-26

Pietrasanta, known as 'Little Athens' for its artistic heritage, has launched a free web app to explore the Parco Internazionale della Scultura Contemporanea. The app offers virtual tours and thematic itineraries, including a treasure hunt for children guided by mascot Conty, inspired by Jimenez Deredia's work. Mayor Alberto Stefano announced the app during the 40th anniversary of the Museo dei Bozzetti, of which the park is an outdoor extension. The park began in the late 1950s, gained momentum in the early 1990s when Premio Rosselli winners like Fernando Botero donated sculptures, and now features 84 works across the city. The app aims to modernize access for families, athletes, children, and people with disabilities.
