New Video Game 'The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline' Announced by ONE O ONE GAMES
Italian developer ONE O ONE GAMES has announced a new video game titled The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline, published by Entalto Publishing and inspired by Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy. A demo was released on Steam on February 19, 2026, and was previewed by the author. In the game, the Divine Comedy is not a poetic fiction but a guide that allows Dante’s descendants to access hell every 33 years to ensure the barrier separating it from our world remains intact. The protagonist, Gabriele Alighieri, initially tries to escape this destiny. The demo explores two floors of the protagonist’s luxurious villa, which includes a smoking room larger than some Milan apartments. In the library, keys to the crypt are recovered, and statuettes of the three beasts from the dark forest open a portal to the Abyss. The game focuses on atmosphere and photorealistic environments, with documents to collect and hints of puzzles. The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline is not the first game inspired by the Divine Comedy; last year Jyamma Games announced an action game La Divina Commedia, and Tambù Games is developing Beatrix, a card game about Beatrice’s descent into hell. Outside Italy, Thunder Lotus Games is developing 33 Immortals, an online multiplayer action game.
