New Triennale Della Contemporaneità Founded in Sicily at Art Hotel Atelier sul Mare

Patron Antonio Presti has announced the creation of the Triennale Della Contemporaneità, a new triennial event to be hosted at the Art Hotel Atelier sul Mare in Castel di Tusa, Sicily. The hotel, a unique museum-hotel with 40 rooms, 20 of which are installation artworks by international artists, will see its remaining 20 unfinished rooms transformed every three years by students and artists from universities, art high schools, and academies. Presti, also founder of the Fiumara d'Arte open-air sculpture park, intends for the triennial to ensure the hotel's continuous renewal and avoid becoming a static masterpiece. The historical rooms will be entrusted to a university for conservation and restoration of contemporary art. Presti stated, 'What I would like is to be remembered not for what I have done but for the power of my inexhaustible desire to continue educating through beauty.' The initiative follows Presti's restoration of the Porta della Bellezza and creation of the Porta delle Farfalle in Catania's Librino district.
