New Settings 2018: Cross-Disciplinary Performances at Théâtre de la Cité Internationale

The 2018 edition of New Settings, a program supported by the Fondation d'entreprise Hermès, presents a selection of contemporary dance, theatre, and visual arts performances. Now in its eighth year, the program has become a crossroads for experimental creation, featuring both emerging and established artists. This year's lineup includes works by Hiroshi Sugimoto, Ola Maciejewska, Clémence Mary, Pierre Pica, Virginie Yassef, Philippe Quesne, Jeanne Candel, Christos Papadopoulos, Ali Moini, Lia Rodrigues, Émilie Rousset & Louise Hémon, Vera Mantero, and Nora Chipaumire. Performances take place at the Théâtre de la Cité internationale and partner venues including the Théâtre de la Ville, Centre Pompidou, Théâtre Nanterre-Amandiers, and Théâtre des Bouffes-du-Nord, often in collaboration with the Festival d'Automne. For the second time, New Settings crosses the Atlantic: two shows will be presented at the Crossing The Line festival produced by the FIAF (French Institute Alliance Française), a partner since 2013, offering French creators a platform on the American stage. The publication includes a preface by Catherine Tsekenis and features interviews and photographs by Guitemie Maldonado, Florian Gaité, Romaric Gergorin, Alain Berland, Bastien Gallet, and Charlotte Imbault.
