New Riff Releases 2026 Edition of American Single Malt Whiskey

• New Riff released the 2026 edition of its American single malt whiskey.
• The American single malt category was officially recognized by the TTB in early 2025.
• The whiskey uses six different mashbills: Marris Otter, Golden Promise, barleywine, Belgian Quadrupel, Scottish peated barley, and Chevallier.
• Chevallier is a historic British heirloom varietal used for the first time by New Riff.
• The whiskey is aged for at least seven years in five cask types: new charred oak, de-charred toasted oak, used bourbon barrels, Spanish oloroso sherry, and Pedro Ximenez sherry.
• Master distiller Brian Sprance commented on the blending process.
• The whiskey is 111.7 proof and has flavor notes of chocolate, raisin, coconut, dried fig, vanilla, oak, smoke, citrus, and cherry.
